The only thing that has changed nowadays is that you can take the exam online and you also can retake parts of the exam. The rest is the same. For pronunciation there are some good online courses I think. If you want to do it by yourself a great idea is to listen to the speaker of online dictionaries (they are free) and try to imitate the pronunciation. You can choose some words to do this every day. 10 words a day for example. At the same time, listen to native speakers talking in movies etc in things you like. Gradually you’ll get a lot better!
